2. In short

3. The app “Chronicles of Bornim”

Data on your device

The app keeps saved games, settings and a crash log on your device only. They stay in the app’s private storage area, which other apps cannot read. We never receive them. You delete saved games in the app; uninstalling removes everything. If Android backup is turned on, Android may back these data up to your Google account; Google does this under your settings, and we have no access to it.

Permissions

The app asks for no access to the internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts or your files. Its only permission lets it adjust audio settings for music and sound in the game.

Google Play

If you get the app from Google Play, Google processes data for this as an independent controller under the Google Privacy Policy. From Google we receive only aggregate figures (such as installs and ratings) and crash and performance reports that Google collects from devices whose users allowed it. We cannot identify individuals from them.

Taking part in tests

People who test the app before release give us the email address of their Google account, so that we can add them as testers in Google Play, and send us feedback. We pass the address to Google for this; Google may process it outside the EU and relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Without the address you cannot take part. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (your participation). We delete the address when the test ends or you leave. If you receive an allowance for testing, we keep the receipt as long as tax law requires (up to ten years, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. This website

Hosting and log files

The website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). When you open a page, the server processes what every browser sends: IP address, date and time, page requested, referring page, browser and operating system, amount of data sent. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks; the legal basis is our legitimate interest in that (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have turned off access logs for this site: the data are used only to serve the request and are not stored afterwards. Without the IP address and the page requested, the server cannot deliver the site.

No cookies, no third-party services

We set no cookies, use no analytics or advertising services and embed no third-party content. Fonts and images are served from our own web space. The link to Google’s privacy policy takes you to Google only when you click it.

Email

If you write to us, we process your address and message to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once the matter is settled and no retention duty applies.

5. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). An email to us is enough.

Right to object: where we process data based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77), for example where you live or where we are based.

6. Changes

If the app or the website changes so that other data are processed, we update this policy beforehand.
